چکیده

We study a model of pairwise communication in a finite population of Bayesian agents. We show that, in contrast with claims to the contrary in the existing literature, communication under a fair protocol may not lead to commonly known signals, or even consensus. We prove that, in order for commonly known signals to be achieved, individuals must also know the structure of the communication protocol. In this case, a consensus will be also reached. The development and evolution of any system–person, organization–nation depends on how the system succeeds to bridge the gap between what the system knows and what the system does (with the knowledge). We call this the gap between knowing and doing or the knowing-doing gap. If the system does not do what it knows, it will lose out in competition with other systems, its relative performance in...

Optimal adaptive leader-follower consensus of linear multi-agent systems: Known and unknown dynamics

In this paper, the optimal adaptive leader-follower consensus of linear continuous time multi-agent systems is considered. The error dynamics of each player depends on its neighbors’ information. Detailed analysis of online optimal leader-follower consensus under known and unknown dynamics is presented. The introduced reinforcement learning-based algorithms learn online the approximate solution...

پیوند رؤیت فؤاد و بصر در معراج پیامبر(ص)

The issue of perceiving God in Islamic theology, philosophy and mysticism is very important. It seems that there is no concern regarding the consensus among the proponents and opponents of perceiving God by the visual sense, though mystics have made a lot of efforts to reconcile the visual perception and intuitive discernment. Of these efforts, a typical example can be found in the interpretati...
